ESE’S Jaguar Eyewear Releases Fall Collection

ESE’S Jaguar Eyewear Releases Fall Collection

Eastern States Eyewear has announced the release of six new styles in Jaguar Eyewear. Both Jaguar’s classic collection and the youthful Jaguar Spirit line comprise this introduction. Demonstrated in the new models is the brand’s penchant for utilizing the luxurious design elements from Jaguar’s world class automobiles as inspiration. The temples of classic models 33075 and 33077 mimic the leather upholstery utilized in the cars’ interior. Similarly, the inspiration for the antique finishing of the stainless steel Spirit models 33700 and 33701 comes directly from the classy finish seen in the autos’ detail work. Colors utilize original tones which are dynamically matched, and finished. Combinations include brown-blue, black-burgundy, grey-beige, and gunmetal-olive. A variety of intriguing finishes such as antique brushing, striations complement both shiny and mat finishes which are seen on both metal and acetate materials. As always, a standout feature of the eyewear is Jaguar’s offering of multiple materials. Metal styles are created from a base of monel, stainless steel, or pure titanium and feature temples and accents created from acetate and aluminum respectively. As...

The El Salvador Project: Proof Donates Over $12K to the Communities of El Salvador

Proof Eyewear and HELP International teamed up to serve the communities of El Salvador in Central America this summer. Members of both the Proof and HELP crew partnered up with a group of volunteers in executing projects related to economic development, environmental conservation, education, and visual health. “We’re really excited to release the photo and video footage to those who play the biggest role in our Do Good Program, our customers. The Travel Journal allows them to join us on our journey from start to finish.” Tanner Dame, COO of Proof Eyewear. The project started with the design of special edition sunglasses; the colorful print on the wooden frames was inspired by internationally recognized Salvadoran artist, Fernando Llort Choussy. Each frame was handcrafted using a complete skateboard deck with the printed El Salvador Project graphic, showing that each purchase is part of something bigger. 100% of proceeds from the sale of this unique design was donated to the El Salvador Project. The Travel Journal explains in depth where the dollars were invested. Each project provided solutions that wouldn’t pay off a problem temporarily but would solve economic...

Wiley X Sponsored Driver Joey Logano Excels At Watkins Glen, Winning Nascar Xfinity Series And Sprint Cup Series Races Back-To-Back

Wiley X Sponsored Driver Joey Logano Excels At Watkins Glen, Winning Nascar Xfinity Series And Sprint Cup Series Races Back-To-Back

Joey Logano had himself a great weekend August 8-9 at Watkins Glen Raceway in New York, winning the NASCAR XFinity Series Race on Saturday, then following that up with a thrilling last-lap victory at the Sprint Cup Series Cheez-It 355 on Sunday. It was a wild finish to the Sprint Cup Series race, as Logano never led the race until literally the very end. Fellow Wiley X driver Kevin Harvick® was comfortably in the lead and trying to conserve fuel to make it to the end of the race. Logano knew this, and was pushing him as hard as he could throughout the final lap to make Harvick use more fuel than he wanted. The strategy worked, as Logano shot past Harvick at the last minute to take the checkered flag. Harvick coasted to the finish line on fumes, still taking third place. Fellow team Wiley X racer Matt Kenseth finished fourth behind Harvick, and Carl Edwards, also sponsored by Wiley X, finished in eighth place — giving Wiley X an impressive four racers in the Top 10. Interestingly, this was the second consecutive week where a NASCAR race was won in this fashion. Last week at Pocono, Kyle Busch ran out of gas on the final lap and Matt Kenseth passed him for the win. Logano’s last-lap...

SPY Inc. (OTCBB: XSPY) today announced financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2015. First half sales were $17.3 million in 2015, a decrease of 0.7% or $0.1 million less than in the first half of 2014. Sales included higher closeout sales of $1.8 million in 2015, compared to $0.8 million in 2014. The decrease in our net sales was primarily driven by a key retailer holding lower levels of inventory relative to last year, as well as lower sales of our prescription frame products. Gross profit as a percentage of net sales was 52.3% for the six months ended June 30, 2015, compared to 53.7% for the six months ended June 30, 2014. Second quarter sales were $8.1 million in 2015, a decrease of 0.8% or $0.1 million less than in the same period in 2014. The decrease in our net sales was primarily driven by lower sales of our goggles and prescription frame product lines, partially offset by higher sales of closeout products, particularly sunglasses. Gross profit as a percentage of net sales was 49.5% for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, compared to 55.5% for the same period in 2014. “We are disappointed with our overall results this second quarter as we set the...
