Safilo At Mido Welcomes 2015 Applications To Its New Product School

Safilo reignites its tradition of craftsmanship, evoking the spirit of the ancient Schools of Arts and Crafts once active in Venice. With the creation of the first Eyewear Product School, Safilo recognizes its great responsibility to pass on to future generations this precious heritage, while modernizing it for future sustainability. The school will start in mid-September for the school year 2015/2016 with a three-year theory and practice program, covering all aspects of the eyewear world that offers various interpretative codes and multiple points of reference. The goal is to give young apprentices, who are just beginning their professional career, the opportunity and the necessary support to acquire systemically fundamental experience in all Eyewear Product areas, from design to development, from prototyping to production, the accurate knowledge of materials, quality control, up to pricing and concept selling.
