On Sunday, October 30, 2011, for the third time this year more than 400 eye care professionals gathered in Anaheim, California to attend C & E’s Ocular Symposiums.  According to C & E Principal Harvey Yamamoto, O.D., “C & E’s Ocular Symposiums are designed to support C & E members with the expansion and scope of their practices to medically based practices.” In this regard, courses offered at this Symposium, which was the final one of the year, included “Advanced Diagnostics for the Optometric Physician: Specular Microscopy and Expanded Pupil Diagnostics”, and “The Advancements in Retina,  Medical & Surgical  Advancements.” Pat Caroline, a leading authority on contact lenses, presented two, two hour courses, including “Scleral lenses- New Thoughts & New Understandings.” Attendees earned 8 hours of COPE credit for attending the full day seminar.  Including this Symposium, a total of more than 1300 eye care professionals attended one of C & E’s three Ocular Symposiums in 2011.  C & E believes that its Ocular Symposiums are the largest educational series not taking place at a trade show in the United States,  C  & E’s first...
