Hauppauge, NY – December 2011 – Marc Ecko Cut & Sew Eyewear wins the 2011 Best Frame Brand – New Launch in the 3rd annual EyeVote Reader’s Choice Awards. Sponsored by Vision Monday and 20/20 Magazine, the EyeVote awards identify and recognize readers’ favorite optical products and companies of the year.
“This has certainly been an exciting year for the Marc Ecko Cut & Sew eyewear brand,” says David Friedfeld, President of ClearVision Optical. “Our Product team took a different approach in the design of this modern, trendsetting collection, using subtle, unique details reflective of the “pop-culture-meets-cult-classics” styling of the Cut & Sew brand. Our goal was to develop an eyewear collection that’s not only highly-wearable, but set at an attainable price point.”
Optical retailers and ECP readers of Vision Monday and 20/20 Magazine were asked to identify their “favorite” products in eight distinct categories: optical frames, spectacle lenses, sunglasses, contact lenses, optical equipment, diagnostic equipment, practice management software and online ordering. Winners were chosen based on votes written in by readers (brand/company choices were not pre-listed). This year’s survey also spanned a wider range of product brands and product groups as compared to last year’s survey. Votes from manufacturers were considered ineligible and removed from the final counts.
“The launch of Marc Ecko Cut & Sew eyewear included the development of a unique website that includes innovative Virtual Try On, or VTO, a technology that appropriately reflects the Marc Ecko consumer and supports the product direction,” says Friedfeld. “VTO allows us to provide our customers with a cutting edge, advanced way to view and order product. Not only does this reinforce our ability to embrace new and innovative technology, it further exemplifies our commitment to meeting the needs of our customers in an ever-changing technological landscape.”
ClearVision is developing a special promotional campaign to highlight the exciting EyeVote honor.
