REM To Host CE Class At Vision Expo East

The hugely popular 20/20 Continuing Education course titled “Frame Design and Development: Looking Beyond Logos and Markings” will be taught live at Vision Expo East 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Friday March 15. Registration is now open at www.VisionExpoEast.com. Since the launch of the online educational opportunity, more than 3,200 individuals have successfully completed the course receiving credit from the American Board of Opticianry – more than any other 20/20 Continuing Education course to date. Hundert offers students an in-depth view of manufacturing, acquired through three decades of hands-on experience working with factories around the world.  Course participants benefit from Hundert’s wisdom, gaining knowledge usually only accessible with a passport and years of meticulous research. John Varvatos’ signature style is hard to miss. Old-world craftsmanship and rock star spirit, accompanied by an unabashed dedication to quality, have sky-rocketed the Detroit-born designer from Motor City giant to global style icon. The Varvatos line has expanded to a lifestyle brand with the designer putting his spin on everything from fragrance bottles to cars. (Chrysler is set to release a Varvatos limited edition 300c for Spring 2013.) With a vise-like grip on the men’s fashion scene, Varvatos and his trademark detailing have become synonymous with cool. His eyewear collection from REM Eyewear follows suit by echoing the tough but tailored touches that have made Varvatos a force to be reckoned with. The four iconic hallmarks that represent the brand include John Varvatos’ initials, a crown, a guitar, and a shield displaying the company’s founding date. These hallmarks, which appear on fragrance bottles, accessories, and the limited edition Chrysler, also lend their hip vibe to temples and temple tips throughout the eyewear collection. The Varvatos double V stitching, found everywhere in JV’s world from footwear to leather goods, make an appearance as an...

It’s Men’sDay!

It’s Men’sDay!

Certain style choices from the 1990s may be painful to recall, but according to Fashionbeans.com, you can use 90’s fashion to update your wardrobe for spring/summer without looking like you’re in a boy band. Using small influences from 90’s fashion to inspire and update your current wardrobe can actually give a pleasant and playful vibe to your daily look.  Stone or acid washed jeans add a casual feel, while tees with bold prints are reminiscent of popular 90’s street wear.  Just remember to limit loud and bold prints to one piece and keep the rest of the ensemble simple.  Finish off your casual-cool look with retro styled footwear like Nike hi-tops, Adidas Sambas or classic solid colored Converse. As for eyewear, pair our trend with Junction City’s Fairmount Park. The fashionable men’s acetate frame features a prominent rectangle eye shape and bold laminate acetate materials. With an artistic temple design and custom hinge, Fairmount Park is available in Black Olive and Brown Laminate and will perfectly complement your back-to-the-90’s debut.
