Clearvision Will Leave You Guessing!

Clearvision Will Leave You Guessing!

ClearVision Optical has designed a fresh look for its Facebook cover image for the month of May. The new image reflects ClearVision’s adoption of technology and reinforces the company’s commitment to helping customers navigate the expanding “maze” of social media. ClearVision’s creative use of Facebook’s prominent new cover photo feature supports its continued focus on social and emerging media.  The spring cover image is a QR code cleverly incorporated into the main Facebook visual.  When scanned, the QR code leads to an opportunity to receive a free ClearVision USB port if participants guess the correct frame the mouse is wearing! The inventive guessing game provides ClearVision with a remarkable opportunity to optimize its company Facebook presence in a fun way, while engaging users and encouraging new “likes” to the ClearVision Facebook page.  To play, Facebook fans can simply scan the QR code on the ClearVision Facebook page and get started.  The QR code links to a form that has a “guessing game” to enter to win the USB port.  Guess which frame the mouse is wearing, complete the form, and submit to win! All entries will be placed into a raffle, and 10...

New QR Coded Cleaning Cloths From Dynamic Labs

Dynamic Laboratories, Inc. of Ronkonkoma, NY is proud to introduce a new dimension in marketing for the ECP by being the first company to offer custom designed QR codes printed on microfiber cleaning cloths. Mobile marketing is here to stay and custom imprinted QR codes allow eye care professionals to easily access customers in a way that they never could before. QR codes, more formally known as quick response codes, developed by Denso Wave Incorporated, have spread around the world and have finally gained traction in the US. They are two-dimensional bar codes that offer the ability to store a tremendous amount of information. The information that is stored in these codes is not just static information, but can also be interactive as well. This is key to engaging potential customers because by scanning a well-designed QR code, your potential customer can be directed to call a phone number, to set appointments, to promotions, to social media, to websites, to their front door by map, and many other capabilities are possible. A single QR code can also offer a menu of all of the above. Dynamic Labs’ Product Manager, James Kelly adds: “We are seeing explosive interest in this area of...

QR Codes Can Save You BIG

QR Codes Can Save You BIG

They’re called Quick Response Codes – QR codes, for short – and they give printed materials the ability to trigger a variety of actions when scanned by a smartphone’s built-in camera. Think of it like clicking a link on a website to jump to another page with more information. Perhaps the most common use for a QR code is to display a web page with more information or a response form, but they can also be used to call a phone number, display additional text, add a contact to your address book or initiate an email or text message. The whole point of a QR code is that it saves you the hassle of having to type a long website address or phone number into your smartphone, iPad or computer, making it far more convenient to take action based on something you see printed. SCAN ME! “C&E Vision has been at the forefront of this technology by inserting them on posters, newsletters and postcards.  The exciting part about the QR code is that we use them randomly to offer money saving programs to our members” says David Carneal, Director of Buying Group Relations for C&E Vision.  So when you see a QR code from C&E Vision, make sure to scan it, who knows it could save you...
A&A’s Catalog Features QR Codes…

A&A’s Catalog Features QR Codes…

Marking its 40th anniversary this year, A&A Optical is using Quick-Response codes in its just-released catalog and point-of-purchase materials to link customers to brand videos, collection images, product info and special promotions. The use of QR codes is a new digital trend sweeping many new retail, brand and media platforms. These black-and-white patterned box codes allow a website, video, coupon/special to be revealed in an instant, via users’ smartphones. The QR codes are on the 2011 catalog’s inside cover which will connect the reader to A&A’s bimonthly reorder promotion. A QR code is also located on each collections introduction spread, directing the customer to the collection page on A&A’s website where they can view all colors available for each style offered. For A&A’s Roxy and Quiksilver introductory pages, when the viewer/reader scans the QR code with their smartphone, it will pull up those brands’ new 2011 videos, including world class surfer Kelly Slater’s new video for Quiksilver. Counter cards are available for order this month. A&A’s upcoming ads for Vision Expo will also contain a QR code link to a special...
