Wiley X®-sponsored NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick® has earned his first Sprint Cup Series Championship, doing so by racing two back-to-back victories on consecutive weekends. First, Harvick had to win the Quicken Loans for Heroes 500 at Phoenix International Speedway last Sunday just to earn a spot among the “final four” drivers competing for the Cup. Then, Harvick had to show his skills and nerves of steel by passing driver after driver in the final laps to win the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway November 16. This win definitely didn’t come easy — and this made it a fitting way to be crowned the “best of the best” for 2014. Harvick was in 12th position on a restart with 15 laps to go, and quickly passed four cars to move to seventh place. Another caution flag followed, and Harvick’s earlier decision to get four new tires paid off handsomely. He shot through the middle on the restart and quickly picked up four spots to move into second place behind Denny Hamlin, also in the running for the championship.
